Penguatan Daya Saing Berkelanjutan Pada Kelompok Barang Rosokan Plastik Di Kecamatan Sukowono Kabuapaten Jember Mendukung Pengelolaan Sampah Berkelanjutan di Kabupaten Jember
Abstract
This community service activity was carried out to empower waste collectors and local women’s groups through training on waste management and the application of a digital financial recording system. The program aimed to improve production capacity and managerial competence among partners who previously managed waste traditionally without proper financial records. The participatory approach involved socialization, hands-on training, and mentoring. A simple plastic shredder machine was provided to increase processing efficiency, while participants were trained to use a mobile-based financial application to record income and expenses. Data were collected from 30 respondents through pre-test and post-test questionnaires using Likert scales and open-ended responses. The results showed a significant improvement in both technical and managerial aspects, with the average score increasing from 3.2 to 4.6. The use of the shredder enhanced production efficiency, while the digital tools improved financial literacy and record accuracy. In conclusion, integrating appropriate technology and financial literacy proved effective in increasing community empowerment, income, and environmental awareness, creating a sustainable socio-economic transformation within the local community.
