Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Submission

Submission to this journal proceeds totally online and you will be guided stepwise through the creation and uploading of your files. All correspondence, including notification of the Editor’s decision and requests for revision, takes place by e-mail. Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat (JPM)
twice published in January and July.

1. Double Blind, Peer Reviewed

The peer review process is double blind. The main upload must be arranged in the following order: blinded title pageabstractmanuscriptreferencesfigures, and tables. Do not include author(s) name(s) in the text or page header. The main file can be in .doc, .docx, or .pdf format.

2. Article structure

The text should be in single-column format and the entire document, including references, should be 1,5 spaced. Keep the layout of the text as simple as possible. Manuscripts will generally be between 15-20 pages.

3.1 Subdivision

Divide your article into clearly defined sections. Each level should be done in capitalize each word, centered flush left.

4. Essential title page information

4.1. Complete Title page

The complete title page should be uploaded as a separate document and include the following elements.

4.2.1. Title

The title should be concise and informative. Avoid abbreviations where possible.

4.2.2. Author names and affiliations

Where the family name may be ambiguous (e.g., a double name), please indicate this clearly. Present the authors’ affiliation addresses (where the actual work was done) below the names. Indicate all affiliations with a lower-case superscript letter immediately after the author’s name and in front of the appropriate address. Provide the full address of each affiliation, including the country name and the e-mail address of each author.

4.2.3. Corresponding author

Clearly indicate the corresponding author. Ensure that phone numbers (with country and area code) are provided in addition to the e-mail address and the complete postal address. Contact details must be kept up to date by the corresponding author.

5. Abstract

The abstract should indicate the study objectives, key hypotheses, main data source(s), key findings, and a brief description of the implications of the findings. The abstract should be concise and factual. Abstracts are limited to 250 words. There is a field on the submission page to enter the abstract.

6. Keywords

Immediately after the abstract, provide a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 keywords, avoiding general and plural terms.

7. Tables & Figures

Tables and figures should be embedded within the manuscript at the end of the document following the references. Tables and figures should be properly labeled and numbered using Arabic numerals and titles. Please make sure that all tables and figures are properly referenced within the text.

8. Reference Style

Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat (JPM) follows the American Psychological Association. We encourage you to use bibliographic software (mendeley, zotero) when preparing your reference list.
