Author Guidelines

  1.  Before Submission

Before submitting make sure that your manuscript is suitable to Relasi : Jurnal Ekonomi Aim and Scope.

  1. Preliminary Assessment

Submitted papers that do not meet the aims and scope of Relasi : Jurnal Ekonomi will be rejected. The quality issues include inappropriate research questions, not sufficiently rigorous and not sufficiently in depth intellectually. In addition, the papers written in language and grammar that do not achieve a scholarly accepted standard are likely to be desk rejected.

  1. The Manuscripts

The manuscript should be an original research paper that sufficiently contributes novelty to economics literature. Authors are requested to submit their papers electronically by using E-mail pppm@stie-mandala.ac.id to online submission procedure. The corresponding author should also provide a statement that the manuscript is not concurrently being under consideration for publication elsewhere. The Editors will ignore submissions that do not follow these procedures.

The following documents should accompany the manuscripts submitted by online through email stie mandala : pppm@stie-mandala.ac.id and attached Signed Copyright Transfer Agreement (CTA) form originally (scan the document after signed or signed electronically). Download CTA form here.

  1. Structure of the manuscripts
  1. Title. The title must contain the main issue of the paper. The title should be clear and informative, and not more than 14 words.
  2. Author's names and institutions. The author's names should be accompanied by the author's institutions and email addresses, without any academic title. For a joint paper, one of the authors should be notified as the corresponding author.
  3. Abstract and keywords. The abstract of your paper is a critical part of your manuscript. The length of the abstract should contains less than 250 words, including keywords. Abstract are containing main issue(s) of research, research main objective(s), hypothesis(s) if any, sample and data, method of analysis (simple explanation) if any, and result(s).   
  4. Introduction. This section explains the background to the study, a review on the previous researches in the area, and aims of the manuscripts. It should also show the significance and novelty of the research.
  5. Methods. This section describes the appropriate tools of analysis along with the data and their sources.
  6. Results and Discussion. This section explains the results of the study clearly and concisely. Author(s) should discuss by exploring the state of the art and novelties of the work to the economics literature.
  7. Conclusion. This section concludes and provides policy implications, if any, of the study.
  8. References. This section lists only the papers, reference books, or other types of publications referred in the body of the manuscript. Manuscript are expectedly involved primary and updated references.
  1. General Writing Format
  1. The manuscript is prepared in an A4 paper, single-sided, and single line spacing format. A new paragraph should start 5 characters from the left margin, using 12-size, Times-new-romans font type.
  2. The top and bottom margins are 1 inch.
  3. The title is written using capital letters only at first word or special name (example: location name), 14 font size, center position.
  4. Sub titles are written using capital letters only at first word or special name, 12 font size, starting from the left margin.
  5. Sub of sub titles, if any, are written using capital letters only at first word or special name. They should be started from the left margin.
  6. References should contain relevant reference libraries originating from primary sources and published in the last 10 (ten) years.
  1. Specific Writing Format
  1. Equations and formula should be numbered as (1), (2).etc appearing to their right.
  2. Estimation results from a software package are not allowed to be directly presented in the paper. They should be presented in summary tables.
  1. Tables and Figures

Tables and figures should be presented as follows:

  1. The name of tables and figures should follow a numbering system (Arabic numbering system). The title of the tables and figures are placed at the top and the bottom respectively.
  2. The tables and figures should provide the source of information, if any, at the bottom.
  3. Any table should contain only heading and contents. The table contains row lines only without column lines. Note(s) and source(s) should be included underneath the table where appropriate.
  1. Citation

Citation in the text body should be written using the family name and years of publication. Example:

  1. Hill (2001) suggests that the objective of depreciation is...
  2. Inflation targeting would be sufficient (McCain, 1982).
  3. The definition of contagion is ... (Wagner, 1976; Rhonda 2009).
  4. The Authors are recommended to use Mendeley Reference software.
  1. References

The manuscript is expected to involve approximately 20-25 primary and up-to-date references to assert high-quality contributions to knowledge development. Citations and references must strictly follow the APA (American Psychological Association) style. References should include only works that are cited within the text of the manuscript. Consulting the APA style manual (http://www.apastyle.org/pubmanual.html) is strongly recommended for completing manuscript submissions.

  1. Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. Before sending your article, you may use the checklist below. Incomplete submission may results in your paper being returned
  2. Manuscript contains approximately 4000-7000 words, including the references
  3. Abstract is followed by keywords
  4. Tables and figures use relevant titles and match with citations in text
  5. Grammar and Spelling have been checked
  6. There is no redundant and missing references
  7. References are in the correct format and use reference manager software
  8. Submission is approved by all authors
  9. Front page provides each author’s affiliation, and corresponding author’s email and mailing address
